Paradise is Hell

Everyone lives in their own private Hell.

For some, it’s not what you might think.

T Rump has opened my eyes to the fact that for him, and about a third of Americans, Hell is a veritable Paradise.

This modern day purgatory celebrates hatred as an exalted virtue; moreover, it serves as the pavement upon which their life’s journey is traveled.

“Immense gratitude rests in the holding of guns, not hands”, bespeaks a fundamental tenet of those whose hearts are frozen with distrust and resentment.  This underworld of darkness is where T Rump’s thrives.

Their substitute for the Bible, the Quran and the Torah is what they refer to simply as, “The Dossier”.

It’s brief and ends at Chapter 7.

Its first three words are reminiscent of the Bible, and then the text follows a different path.

“In the beginning…Fire, Floods, Earthquakes, Pestilence, Famines and Pandemics befall the earth to create an Edenic universe befitting no one but wretched souls of darkness.”

Sounds inviting.

Like the Bible, the “Dossier” specifies irrevocable moral boundaries that define the ethos and provide a window into the soulless abyss within.

It’s their answer to the Bible’s Seven Deadly Sins.

“Thou shalt not…

“Be Truthful,

“Be Loving,

“Be Forgiving,

“Be Compassionate,

“Be Empathetic,

“Be Tolerant,

“Be Gracious.”

In Hell…

T Rump, his lackies, sychophants and relatives live lives of riotous gratification.

They ask not what you can do for your community, but what it can do for you.

Mark Twain said, “Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.

“All the devils are here,” wrote Shakespeare.

Prescient.

The Road to Hell is paved with good Republicans.

Amen.
